Fire Equipment Donation Initiative
Letter from Patrick McDermont (International Fire Training Force) donating 15 sets of fire gear to firefighters in Ghana.
“Dear Ms. Carruthers,
I am writing to formally affirm, on behalf of the International Fire Training Force, our donation of fifteen (15) complete sets of fire gear to support emergency response initiatives in Ghana.
This contribution reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening global fire service capacity and ensuring that responders in under-resourced regions have access to safe, reliable protective equipment. We greatly value the partnership and collaboration fostered through the Proctor Organization, whose efforts have been instrumental in coordinating this transfer of equipment.
The donated gear includes 15 structural firefighting ensembles—turnout coats, bunker pants—all inspected and confirmed to meet functional standards suitable for field use. We are confident these resources will advance training, improve operational readiness, and enhance safety for the firefighters who will put them to use.
